Publication Ethics

Paramurobi: Jurnal Pendidikan Agama Islam is a scholarly journal managed by the Islamic Religious Education Study Program, Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training, Universitas Sains Al-Qur’an, Central Java, Wonosobo. The journal was first published in 2018. Paramurobi is an online academic journal that publishes research articles and scholarly works in the field of Islamic Religious Education.

This statement of publication ethics constitutes the ethical guidelines for all parties involved in the publication process of the journal, including the publisher, editors, peer reviewers, and authors. The Code of Ethics for Scientific Publication upholds three fundamental ethical principles: (i) Neutrality, which refers to freedom from conflicts of interest in managing publications; (ii) Fairness, which ensures that authorship rights are granted only to those who are entitled to authorship; and (iii) Honesty, which requires publications to be free from duplication, fabrication, falsification, and plagiarism.

Publisher

  1. The publisher of Paramurobi: Jurnal Pendidikan Agama Islam is responsible for publishing manuscripts that have undergone editing, peer review, and layout processes in accordance with the standards and principles of scholarly journal publishing.

  2. The publisher of Paramurobi: Jurnal Pendidikan Agama Islam is responsible for ensuring academic freedom for editors and peer reviewers in carrying out their respective duties.

  3. The publisher of Paramurobi: Jurnal Pendidikan Agama Islam is responsible for maintaining privacy, protecting intellectual property rights and copyright, and safeguarding editorial independence.

Editors

  1. The editors of Paramurobi: Jurnal Pendidikan Agama Islam are responsible for determining which submitted manuscripts are eligible for publication, with due consideration of applicable legal requirements concerning copyright infringement, duplication, data fabrication, data falsification, and plagiarism.

  2. In the process of reviewing and accepting manuscripts, the editorial team of Paramurobi: Jurnal Pendidikan Agama Islam applies the principle of equal and fair treatment in making publication decisions.

  3. The editors and editorial team of Paramurobi: Jurnal Pendidikan Agama Islam shall not disclose any information concerning submitted manuscripts to any party without the authors’ permission, except where disclosure is necessary for the editorial and peer-review process.

  4. Unpublished manuscripts shall not be used by editors for their own research purposes and shall remain confidential.

Peer Reviewers

  1. The peer reviewers of Paramurobi: Jurnal Pendidikan Agama Islam assist the editors in making editorial decisions regarding submitted manuscripts.

  2. Peer reviewers are responsible for providing appropriate recommendations concerning the manuscripts they review.

  3. Reviews shall be conducted objectively and supported by clear and constructive arguments.

  4. Peer reviewers of Paramurobi: Jurnal Pendidikan Agama Islam are responsible for identifying issues related to citations, references, duplication, data fabrication, data falsification, and plagiarism in the manuscripts they review.

  5. Peer reviewers must maintain the confidentiality of all information contained in the manuscripts they review and must not use such information for personal benefit or other private interests.

Authors

  1. Authors must present the results of their research or scholarly work clearly and honestly, and the manuscript must be free from duplication, data fabrication, data falsification, and plagiarism.

  2. Authors are responsible for providing clarification or confirmation regarding matters raised in relation to their submitted manuscripts.

  3. Authors must properly acknowledge and cite the ideas, opinions, and works of other authors that are referred to or quoted in their manuscripts.

  4. Authors must prepare manuscripts ethically, honestly, and responsibly, in accordance with applicable standards and conventions of scholarly writing.

  5. Authors agree that their manuscripts may undergo editing during the peer-review and layout processes, provided that such editing does not alter the substance, meaning, or principal ideas of the manuscript.
