2018 | Establishment and First Publication
PARAMUROBI: Jurnal Pendidikan Agama Islam was established by the Islamic Religious Education Study Program, Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training, Universitas Sains Al-Qur'an (UNSIQ), Central Java, Indonesia.
- Publication of the inaugural issue, Volume 1, Number 1.
- Maryono (UNSIQ) was appointed as the first Editor-in-Chief.

2021 | Editorial Restructuring and Development
PARAMUROBI underwent significant editorial restructuring to strengthen its academic quality, institutional diversity, and journal management.
- M. Yusuf Amin Nugroho (UNSIQ) succeeded Maryono as Editor-in-Chief, while the Managing Editor remained unchanged.
- The Editorial Board was restructured to include academics from various higher education institutions:

2025 | Editorial Leadership Transition and OJS Upgrade
PARAMUROBI introduced significant changes in its editorial leadership and digital publishing infrastructure.
- Robingun Suyud El Syam (UNSIQ) was appointed Editor-in-Chief, succeeding M. Yusuf Amin Nugroho.
- M. Yusuf Amin Nugroho (UNSIQ) assumed the position of Managing Editor.
- In November 2025, the journal upgraded its publishing platform from OJS 3.0 to OJS 3.4.0.8 to modernize its editorial workflow and online publishing system.
2026 | Revision of Author Guidelines and Manuscript Template
Beginning with Volume 9, Number 2 (2026), PARAMUROBI introduced substantial revisions to its Author Guidelines and manuscript template to improve publication quality, manuscript consistency, and research transparency.
The major changes include:
- Manuscript layout: Transition from a two-column to a single-column format to improve readability and simplify manuscript preparation.
- Citation and referencing style: Replacement of the full-note footnote citation system with the APA 7th edition author–date citation system, using in-text citations and a standardized reference list.
- Generative AI disclosure: Introduction of a mandatory declaration concerning the use of generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) in manuscript preparation to promote transparency and academic integrity.
These revisions reflect PARAMUROBI's continuing efforts to strengthen its editorial standards, improve the author experience, and promote responsible scholarly publishing.
