Precast façade systems are increasingly used in high-rise construction, but their effectiveness depends on the synchronization of material delivery, lifting, work-front readiness, and installation activities. This study aims to identify construction waste and workflow inefficiencies in precast façade installation using a macro-level Value Stream Mapping (VSM) approach. A quantitative descriptive case study was conducted on a high-rise apartment project in Jakarta, Indonesia, involving 33 construction professionals. Data were collected through structured questionnaires, site observations, and project documentation. The results show that 258 of 523 planned façade panels were installed, representing an overall achievement of 49.33%, while the mean achievement across Floors 8–12 was 50.70%. Waiting and inventory were the most dominant wastes, both with a mean score of 4.42, followed by overproduction and overprocessing with scores of 4.36. The macro-level VSM indicates that these wastes are associated with synchronization problems among material delivery, temporary storage, lifting availability, and installation readiness. A Future-State VSM is therefore proposed based on pull-based material delivery, Just-in-Time logistics, lookahead planning, and direct-to-install lifting. Although the proposed configuration has not been empirically validated, it provides a practical framework for reducing non-value-adding activities and improving workflow coordination in precast façade installation.
