OPTIMASI DESAIN MESIN SANGRAI KOPI KAPASITAS 1 KG MENGGUNAKAN SIMULASI NUMERIK PADA VARIASI MATERIAL DRUM, KETEBALAN DINDING, DAN BILAH PENGADUK

Kinerja mesin sangrai kopi dipengaruhi oleh karakteristik termal drum dan mekanisme pengadukan yang menentukan distribusi panas serta kerataan pergerakan biji di dalam tabung. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengoptimasi desain mesin sangrai kopi kapasitas 1 kg melalui simulasi numerik pada variasi material drum, ketebalan dinding, dan bilah pengaduk. Metode penelitian meliputi perancangan model tiga dimensi, analisis termal menggunakan Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), serta analisis gerak partikel menggunakan Discrete Element Method (DEM). Variasi yang dikaji adalah material SS 304 dan besi cor dengan ketebalan 4 mm dan 6 mm, serta dua konfigurasi bilah pengaduk. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan bahwa besi cor memiliki konduktivitas termal lebih tinggi sehingga mampu meningkatkan laju pemanasan drum dibandingkan SS 304. Suhu rata-rata udara di dalam drum masing-masing sebesar 466°C pada SS 304 4 mm, 266°C pada SS 304 6 mm, 524°C pada besi cor 4 mm, dan 460°C pada besi cor 6 mm. Konfigurasi bilah pengaduk enam buah menghasilkan kerataan pembalikan biji 118,59% lebih baik dibandingkan konfigurasi empat bilah. Desain optimum direkomendasikan pada SS 304 tebal 4 mm dan bilah pengaduk enam buah.
