This study deals with Wadud Muhsin's interpretation of the gender verses in the Qur'an. The primary resource will be the work of the Amina Wadud as Muslim feminist, namely the Qur'an and Woman, and her other works related to her efforts to understand the verses of Al-Qur'an. Research data were collected by using documentation data collection techniques from books, articles, or other writings.

The results of the study show that Amina Wadud Muhsin's root of thought is a critical reflection from a gender perspective. She sees women's issues in the frame of the interpretation of the Qur'an with an equality perspective without discriminating between male or female gender. His thinking is motivated by psychological, theological, and academic factors
