Abstract
This study will reveal how the Implementation of Halal Product Guarantee after the coming into effect of Law No. 33 of 2014 on Halal Product Guarantee as Consumer Protection Effort in Indonesia? Before the enactment of Law No. 33 of 2014 on Halal Product Guarantee, the implementation and implementation of Halal Product Guarantee is managed by LPPOM MUI. There are many problems when the implementation of halal product guarantee is still managed by private institutions. Therefore, the government finally issued Law No. 33 of 2014 on Halal Product Guarantee.
From the analysis that has been done this study concluded, that the implementation of the guarantee of halal products after the issuance of Law no. 33 of 2014 on the guarantee of halal products is the responsibility of the so-called Halal Product Assurance Management Agency (BPJPH), which is under the auspices of the Ministry of Religious Affairs. BPJPH is tasked with: (a) To formulate and implement JPH policy; (b) Establish norms, standards, procedures and JPH criteria; (c). Issuance and revocation of halal certificate and Halal label on the product; (d) Conducting the registration of halal certificate on overseas products; (e). Conducting socialization, education and publication of halal products; (f). Implementing accreditation of LPH; (g). registration of Halal Auditor; (h). Carry out monitoring of JPH; (i). Carry out coaching of halal auditors; and J). Cooperating with domestic and foreign institutions in the field of JPH implementation. In addition, that the existence of UU JPH is very aligned to support the existence of existing regulations, especially in order to protect consumers, be they Muslim or other consumers.
