Abstract

This study explores the responses of Madura students to the online Arabic language course curriculum from the perspective of Outcome-Based Education (OBE). With the advancement of information technology, online learning has become increasingly accessible, providing opportunities for students to deepen their knowledge beyond traditional classroom settings. The research investigates the motivations of Madura students in participating in online Arabic courses, their acceptance of the OBE curriculum, and the impact of these courses on their learning outcomes. Utilizing qualitative methods, data were collected through interviews and observations from 18 Madura students across various Islamic boarding schools. The findings reveal significant insights into the cultural and social factors influencing their engagement and responses to online learning, highlighting the importance of adapting educational practices to better suit local contexts and enhance learning effectiveness.
