Authorship Criteria

Authorship Criteria

The Journal of Economic, Management, Accounting and Technology (JEMATech) requires all listed authors to make substantial contributions to the research and manuscript preparation. Authorship must accurately reflect each individual's contribution and responsibility for the published work.

To qualify as an author, an individual must meet the following criteria:

  1. Substantial Contribution: Make significant contributions to the conception or design of the research, data collection, analysis, or interpretation of research findings.
  2. Manuscript Preparation: Participate in drafting the manuscript or critically revising its intellectual content.
  3. Final Approval: Review and approve the final version of the manuscript before publication.
  4. Accountability: Accept responsibility for the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of the research and agree to address any questions or concerns regarding the published work.

All individuals who meet these criteria must be listed as authors. Contributors who do not meet the authorship criteria should be acknowledged in the Acknowledgments section, with their permission.

Author Contributions

Authors must clearly identify their respective contributions to the research and manuscript preparation. Contributions may include conceptualization, methodology, data collection, data analysis, investigation, writing, review, editing, supervision, and project administration.

Corresponding Author

The corresponding author is responsible for communication with the journal throughout the submission, peer review, and publication processes. The corresponding author must ensure that all co-authors have reviewed and approved the manuscript, agreed to its submission, and approved any revisions before publication.

Changes in Authorship

Any addition, removal, or rearrangement of authors after manuscript submission must be accompanied by a clear explanation and written agreement from all authors involved. Such changes require approval from the editorial team.

Authorship Misconduct

JEMATech does not tolerate inappropriate authorship practices, including guest authorship, gift authorship, ghost authorship, or the exclusion of individuals who have made substantial contributions to the research.

Any suspected authorship misconduct will be investigated by the editorial team in accordance with recognized publication ethics guidelines.
