TRADISI PEMBACAAN ISTIGĀṠAH
Living Qur'ān, Tradition, Istigāṡah.
Abstract
The author limits this discussion to three points, the understanding of Istigāṡah, the procession and meaning of Istigāṡah, the supporting and inhibiting factors. The type of research is qualitative, while the data collection techniques consist of observation, interviews and documentation. The research shows that; (a) the Istigāṡah refers to a wirid reading (both from the verses of the Qur'an and the good words) as an appeal for help to Allah to make it easier to solve life's problems, (b) the procession and meaning, which is carried out every morning before learning, being read classically, and led by the class leader, accompanied by the teacher who teaches in the first hour. The meaning of the tradition of reading Istigāṡah is as a form of inner effort, as a medium to get closer to Allah, to open his heart so that he gets peace of mind, and hopes that his wishes and blessings of rizki will be granted. (c) Supporters: academically there is an assessment process (memorization of Istigāṡah is a requirement for grade promotion), Inhibitors: Some students have not memorized the Istigāṡah text and do not bring Istigāṡah guide books.
