PENGHORMATAN MARTABAT KEMANUSIAAN DALAM AL-QUR’AN
Human, spirit, caliph.
Abstract
Basically God created man as a noble creature. Humans have a special position in the sight of Allah. God is glorified in the original form of creation as the best creature (Ahsani Taqwim) as in the word of God in the Qur'an Surah at-Tin verse 4. In fact, God has glorified humans over most of His creatures, and really exaggerated. them over other creatures.
Humans are also central figures in the Qur'an. Although in terms of creation, humans are the same as other creatures, namely both originating from water and soil. However, there is one element that distinguishes humans from other creatures, namely after humans are formed with a perfect form, Allah breathes the spirit into humans. Man with all his shortcomings and advantages is the Caliph. Caliph is actually a name for the character of the caliphate which is taken from the verb khalaf which means to replace what has passed. Humans are given the name caliph, because their existence is temporary on earth and will replace each other from one generation to another.
