Peningkatan Kemampuan Membaca Kitab Kuning Santri Pondok Pesantren Ulumul Qur'an AL-Qindiliyah Wonosobo: Pembelajaran Kitab Al-Miftah Lil Ulum Jilid 1 Terbitan Sidogiri

Abstract
This study aims to: 1) apply learning from the book Al-Miftah Lil Ulum Volume 1 to improve reading skills for students at the Ulumul Qur'an Islamic Boarding School Al-Qindiliyah Wonosobo; 2) knowing the increase in the ability to read the yellow book in students after learning the book Al-Miftah Lil Ulum Volume 1; 3) find out the differences in reading ability in the yellow book between classes that apply learning the book of Al-Miftah Lil Ulum Volume 1 and classes that apply conventional learning. This study used quantitative field research methods with experimental types. Where, the author took 30 students as a sample consisting of 15 students in the experimental class and 15 others in the control class. Before learning begins, a pretest is first carried out in both classes. After that, learning was carried out in which the experimental class applied learning from the book Al-Miftah Lil Ulum Volume 1, while conventional learning was carried out in the control class. After learning, a posttest was carried out in both classes. Furthermore, the pretest and posttest data were processed to find out whether there was an increase after applying the learning of the book Al-Miftah Lil Ulum Volume 1 was applied (using the N-Gain test) and whether there were differences in the results of the assessment between the experimental classes that applied learning of the book Al-Miftah Lil Ulum Volume 1 and the control class that only applies conventional learning (using the t-test). The results of this study are as follows: 1) in learning the book Al-Miftah Lil Ulum Volume 1 at the Ulumul Qur'an Islamic Boarding School Wonosobo using learning the book Al-Miftah Lil Ulum Volume 1 there are steps namely, students simultaneously chant Al-Miftah nadzam songs related to the material presented; 2) there is an increase in the ability to read the yellow book in the experimental class students by 0.73 which is included in the high category and an increase of 0.27 for the control class in the low category; 3) there is a difference between the experimental class and the control class with tcount 8.85 > ttable2.048 for a significance level of 5% and tcount 8.85 > ttable2.763 for a significance level of 1%. So that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted.
