Emotional Semantic Shift in the Machine Translation of the Song Qalbi Fil Madinah by Maher Zain & Harris J through ChatGPT

Kajian ini berangkat dari asumsi bahwa makna emosional seperti kasih sayang, kerinduan, dan spiritualitas sangat peka terhadap perubahan linguistik dan kultural, sehingga sering mengalami pelemahan atau pergeseran dalam proses penerjemahan. Penelitian ini menelaah fenomena pergeseran makna emosional dalam penerjemahan mesin terhadap lagu religius Arab Qalbi Fil Madinah karya Maher Zain dan Harris J ke dalam bahasa Indonesia menggunakan ChatGPT. Dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif yang berlandaskan teori Munday (2012). Penelitian ini menganalisis bagaimana ChatGPT mentransfer nuansa afektif dan spiritual dari teks sumber ke teks sasaran. Data penelitian berupa lirik lagu berbahasa Arab dan hasil terjemahan mesin yang dipilih secara purposive berdasarkan kandungan emosional dan spiritualnya. Analisis difokuskan pada empat jenis pergeseran makna emosional penguatan (intensification), pelemahan (attenuation), perubahan polaritas (polarity change), dan penetralan makna (neutralization) dalam teori semantik Munday (2016). Berdasarkan asumsi, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ChatGPT akan mampu mempertahankan akurasi gramatikal dan kohesi struktural, namun sering menetralkan intensitas emosional dan resonansi spiritual, terutama pada ungkapan metaforis dan ekspresi yang terikat budaya. Disimpulkan bahwa meskipun model bahasa generatif memiliki keluwesan linguistik yang tinggi, kemampuannya dalam mempertahankan kesetaraan emosional lintas bahasa dan budaya masih terbatas. Penelitian ini berimplikasi pada urgensi pengujian terhadap performa penerjemahan mesin dalam mentransfer muatan emosional dan spiritual teks religius agar kesetaraan makna tetap terjaga. Temuan ini juga membuka jalan bagi pengembangan model evaluasi baru yang tidak hanya menilai kesepadanan semantik, tetapi juga kesetiaan emosional antarbahasa, sehingga berkontribusi pada penguatan landasan teoretis kajian semantik–pragmatik melalui penerapan model analisis pergeseran makna emosional berbasis teori Munday dalam konteks penerjemahan berbasis kecerdasan buatan.
