لقد لعبت دراسة الذكورة دورًا محوريًا في تطوير فهم ليس فقط للاستراتيجيات التفاعلية التي يستخدمها الرجال في سياقات مختلفة، ولكن أيضًا لكيفية مشاركة اللغة في الهياكل الجندرية للسلطة والهيمنة والسيطرة. وهكذا يرتبط تاريخ الذكورة ارتباطًا وثيقًا برسم وجه التغيير (علم اللغة). يهدف هذا البحث إلى معرفة أشكال الذكورة اللغوية في رواية "رجل السمع الأول" لمجدي شولح. ونوع البحث المستخدم في هذا البحث هو نوعي وصفي. تقنيات جمع البيانات المستخدمة في هذه الدراسة هي تقنيات القراءة وتدوين الملاحظات. إن تقنية تحليل البيانات المستخدمة في هذا البحث هي تقنية وصفية نوعية تعتمد على النظرية العامة لذكورة اللغة. النظرية المستخدمة في هذه الدراسة هي نظرية الذكورة من منظور عام. وتشير نتائج هذه الدراسة إلى أن الذكورة اللغوية الواردة في رواية "رجل السما الأول" تنقسم إلى 6 أشكال، وهي: الذكر الجسدي، والأناني، والاستفزازي، والعنف الجسدي، والقيادة، والشجاعة.
