Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of evaluation and coaching on the cognitive development of early childhood. This research is a type of quantitative research using experimental methods. The research was carried out at RA Miftahul Huda, Kecapi, Jepara for the 2021-2022 Academic Year and was carried out during one sub-theme/one-week learning and evaluation and learning development activities were carried out after school. This study uses a total population of all students of RA Miftahul Huda Kecapi, Jepara which consists of 6 classes and totals 111 children the sample of the control group is 15 children in group B1, while the experimental group consists of 15 children in group B2. Data collection techniques used are tests, observations, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis of this research was used to pretest and posttest questions. Data analysis techniques in quantitative research use statistics. The pre-test and post-test questions will be tested on the control class and the experimental class will be tested first with a validity test. The results of the t-test calculation show that T count > T table or 3.12 > 1.70 which indicates that there is a significant difference between the cognitive abilities of the experimental group and the control group, so there is an influence between evaluation and coaching on early childhood cognitive development.
