The Quran, as the holy scripture, continues to provide freshness through various interpretations without altering its essence and the value of its messages. The study of Quranic exegesis and various interpretative models has evolved over time, creating a vast wealth of knowledge. Since the time of Prophet Muhammad, scholars have made numerous efforts to uncover the meanings and content embedded in the Quran. They have employed diverse methods to delve into the core concepts presented by the Quran. Toshihiko Izutsu, with the ambition to address all issues related to keywords in the Quran, developed an ambitious method utilizing semantic analysis to facilitate researchers and scholars in interpreting Quranic verses by identifying key terms. This article delves into the diverse meanings of the terms "Lu’lu" to unveil its hidden and interconnected meanings within the Quran. It provides specific interpretations of certain words, deepening the understanding of the conceptual meanings conveyed by the Quran and complementing the literature of scholars and interpreters engaged in completing semantic studies.

AN ANALYSIS OF SUNNI SYI'AH VIEWS IN AHL AL-BAYT MEANING (A COMPARATIVE STUDY BETWEEN TAFSEER AL-THABARI AND AL-MIZAN)

An advice conveyed by the Prophet to his people is to glorify their descendants or ahl al-bayt among them; The Prophet's wife, Ali bin Abi Talib, Fatima, Hasan, and Husain. This paper discusses the Sunni and Shia arguments in interpreting Ahl al-bayt based on two interpretations, al-Tabari and al-Mizan. Three things are studied: their understanding of interpreting ahl al-bayt, the taking of interpretation studies, and the differences of each school of thought in measuring the truth of history. The method we use is library research by taking primary sources in the form of books being studied, and secondary sources in the form of books, journal articles, and others. This discussion also summarizes the research results that glorifying the descendants of the Prophet is a form of respect. This must continue to be practiced until now, one of which is following da'wah studies from the descendants of the Prophet, namely Habib, Syarif, and Sayid.

THE TRANSFORMATION ANALYSIS OF THE CONTENT OF MUHAMMAD ABDUH'S INTERPRETATION IN THE INTERPRETATION OF AL-MANAR PRE AND POST GENERATIONS OF MUFASSIR

This writing was motivated by the emergence of the book Tafsir AlManar in the 20th century, which was a very popular book at that time
both in terms of the popularity of the author's character and in terms of
the quality of the content of the interpretation. Tafsir Al-Manar is
basically the work of three Islamic figures, namely Sayyid Jamaluddin
Afghani, then Sheikh Muhammad Abduh and Sayyid Muhamamd
Rasyid Ridha. Before the author focuses on the formulation of the
problem considering that there are irregularities regarding the
author/originator of this book, whether it is purely the work of
Muhammad Abduh or Muhammad Rasyid Ridha. The author will
briefly touch on several issues related to the interpretation of these two
figures. The focus of this writing is stated in the problem formulation:
1) How was the transformation of the content of interpretation carried
out by Muhammad Abduh before the mufassir generation? 2) What was
the transformation of the content of interpretation carried out by
Muhammad Rasyid Ridha after Muhammad Abduh's interpretation?
These two problems will be focused on according to their respective
principles. This type of research is qualitative in nature, for the time
being it is the object of study so that this article can be formed using
literature study and then analysis is carried out. This research focuses
on literature data sources in the form of documents or written sources.
Meanwhile, the aim of this research is to look at the changes in
interpretation made by the two figures in accordance with the role of
both reason and social conditions used by Muhammad Abduh.

TRADISI PEMBACAAN SURAH AL-THARIQ SEBELUM SHOLAT SUBUH

Many Islamic boarding schools make the recitation of certain surahs contained in the Qur’an a daily amaliyah or wirid tradition. The recitation of certain surahs has various purposes from each hut, some aim to facilitate rizki, as a shield of self-care, as a hope of forgiving sins and so on. Usually the practice of reading certain surahs in the Qur’an is based on hadiths delivered by the Prophet Muhammad SAW. In the Miftahul Huda Turen Islamic Boarding School, every morning before dawn prayers there is a recitation of Q.S al-Thariq. Q.S al-Thariq himself discusses the day of resurrection, the afterlife, the calculation of charity (hisab), and vengeance. Surah al-Thariq also deals with the creation of man from a non-existent being into existence. By Miftahul Huda Turen Islamic Boarding School, the recitation of Q.S al-Thariq is used as a daily wirid. In fact, the reading of Q.S al-Thariq as a daily wirid in Islamic boarding schools is still rarely done, especially among the community. The selection of Q.S al-Thariq as a daily wirid has the aim that the daily needs of the Miftahul Huda Turen Islamic Boarding School and all students there can be fulfilled and fulfilled. In practice, the recitation of Q.S al-Thariq at Miftahul Huda Turen Islamic Boarding School is read 3 times before dawn prayers.

This study aims to examine the linguistic interpretation contained in the work of Tafsir Ma’anil Qur’an belonging to al-Farra’. Tafsir al-Farra’ is one of the works of linguistic interpretation that is considered important and influential in the development of the science of interpretation. Through a linguistic approach, al-Farra’ tried to understand and interpret the meaning of the Qur’an based on the rules of the Arabic language. This research is a library research and is a qualitative research, the data is obtained from the main book of al-Farra’s work, namely Tafsir Ma’any Qur’an as the primary resource and supported by books, journals and other references that support the study. Furthermore, the data is analyzed qualitatively. The results of this study show that al-Farrq’ uses various linguistic tools in interpreting the Qur’an, including morphological analysis, syntax, semantics, and phonology. Through this linguistic approach, al-Farra’ attempts to reveal the literal, grammatical, and contextual meanings of the Qur’anic text. Tafsir al-Farra’ provides a significant contribution in the development of tafsir science, especially in the linguistic perspective

Epistemologi Pemikiran Tokoh Perempuan dalam al-Quran Perspektif Barbara Frayer Stowasser

Orientalist figures generally focus on studying classical themes far from everyday life's realities. However, it is different with Barbara Freyer Stowasser who raises contemporary gender issues by reconceptualizing the thoughts of female figures in the Qur'an written through her book, Women in the Qur'an, Tradition, and Interpretation. The method used in this research is library research or library study with a qualitative approach and epistemology theory as an analysis knife. This research found that women's freedom and equality with men are what Stowasser highlights in her book. She argues that it is not only the female protagonist who is marked as a role model with her various virtues. More than that, Stowasser highlights the antagonistic female characters in the Quran as symbols of women's freedom in their meanings. Women can determine their life path in any society they live in, provided that they will be responsible for the quality of their decisions.
