Abstract

The difference in the essence of the Makkiyah and Madaniyah verses is evidence of the diversity of human problems, both individually and in congregation (in society). With the Makkiyah and Madaniyah verses in the Koran, Allah wants to bring humans according to their nature and not force a group to accept texts that according to them are not capable of being practiced. Hijrah, which is the limiting event between the Mecca period and the Medina period, gave birth to a starting point for the revolution and revival of future Muslims, even hijrah was created to raise the spirit of Muslims who are always left behind with other people. Changes in the content of the text between the Mecca and Medina periods created an Islamic society that was tolerant, pluralist, and eager to work together and work together in creating a safe and comfortable atmosphere. By using a sociological approach to religion, it is clear that the Qur'an descended according to the social conditions of the people who received it. These differences make Muslims rich in knowledge and the rules of life. The differences in teachings brought in the Meccan period and the Medina period show that the Qur'an is flexible in responding to differences between fellow Muslims due to differences in the environment and surrounding circumstances.
