In this study, Arabic grammar test was designed to measure grammar competence in the context of authentic and communicative language use. The research method involved library research. The results show that the developed test model is in accordance with ACTFL standards, effective in evaluating Arabic grammar competence, and can be used as a valid and reliable measurement tool in Arabic language learning. This test model is expected to help educators in assessing students' grammar skills more comprehensively and accurately, as well as supporting the improvement of the quality of Arabic language learning at various levels of education.
2025-06-30T00:00:00+07:00 ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://ojs.unsiq.ac.id/index.php/liar/article/view/8954 Scientometrics of Language Policy in Sustaining Arabic Learning in Indonesia 2025-07-07T03:31:08+07:00 Apri Wardana Ritonga apriwardanaritonga@stiq.assyifa.ac.id Uril Bahruddin urilbahruddin@pba.uin-malang.ac.id Muhammad Yahya Abdullah yahyaabdullahpalembang@gmail.com Ayu Desrani aydesrani@gmail.com Nahid Ayad na.ayad@zu.edu.ly
This study examines the evolution of Arabic language policy in Indonesia, focusing on its historical and political dimensions to assess the sustainability of Arabic language education. The analysis specifically highlights five key revisions to the Arabic language curriculum in the post-reform era, aimed at enhancing the quality of Arabic language instruction in Indonesia. Utilizing Norman Fairclough's Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA), this research explores the historical trajectory of Arabic language teaching from the Dutch East Indies era to the present. The findings reveal that Arabic language policy has undergone significant transformations since the reform period, reflecting the government’s sustained efforts to improve the quality and continuity of Arabic education. The political context plays a crucial role in shaping the classification of students' language proficiency, the objectives of Arabic language learning, and its status as an integral part of religious identity. The study suggests that further research is needed to deepen the understanding of Arabic language policy. Based on bibliometric analysis, it is recommended that future scholars focus on exploring language education policies to broaden the existing literature on this subject.
2025-06-30T00:00:00+07:00 ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://ojs.unsiq.ac.id/index.php/liar/article/view/8681 Fa’aliyah Namudazi At Ta’lim At Taáwuni As Ilah Al Bithoqoh Fi Ta’liimi Mahaarah Al Kalam Ladai Tulab As Shofi Al Asyir Fil Madrasah Atsanawiyah Al Islamiyah Nahdhotil Ulama Mranggen Demak 2025-07-07T03:31:23+07:00 Maulida Nurul Badriyyah maulidabadriyyah1@gmail.com
Speaking skills are considered one of the most important language skills. For this reason, a learning model is needed that is appropriate to the subject and students to improve speaking skills. This research aims to determine the effectiveness of the Quiz-Quiz Trade cooperative learning model in learning speaking skills if vocabulary mastery is controlled.

This research used the True Experiment Design method and was carried out at Nahdlatul Ulama Mranggen Demak high school with a sample of 58 students grouped into two classes. Data collection techniques in this research used observation and tests, which were then analyzed using descriptive analysis techniques, ANAVA techniques, and ANAKOVA techniques. From the analyzed data, the results showed that speaking skills in the experimental class were higher than in the control class. The use of this model was carried out well with increasing observation results.

Besides that, the results of the ANAVA analysis for speaking skills showed an insignificant value, namely F = 1.452 and F criterion = 4.013. The results of the ANAVA analysis of vocabulary ability show significant results because the F value is greater than the F criteria, namely 6.292 and 4.013. Besides that, the results of the covariance analysis of speaking skills after controlling mufrodat mastery showed significant results with F = 7.684 and standard F = 4.016. These results indicate that the research hypothesis can be accepted because it is supported empirically.
2025-06-30T00:00:00+07:00 ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://ojs.unsiq.ac.id/index.php/liar/article/view/9157 The Impact of Task-Based Learning on the Development of Arabic Verbal Communication 2025-07-16T16:02:47+07:00 Khansa Nabila 452024817029@student.unida.gontor.ac.id Alif Cahya Setiyadi alif.setiyadi@unida.gontor.ac.id Alifka Humayra alifkahumayra@gmail.com
Mastery of verbal communication in Arabic is a major challenge in the Islamic boarding school environment which is still dominated by memorization and grammar methods. These challenges arise when students struggle to express ideas and thoughts spontaneously in Arabic due to the influence of their mother tongue (Indonesian) and regional languages. This study aims to deeply examine the issues of language interference in teaching Maharah al-Kalam at the Islamic Institute of Hamzanwadi Nahdlatul Wathan, East Lombok. It seeks to identify the forms of language interference occurring and analyze the underlying factors. The research employs a field research method with a qualitative approach, involving direct observation, in-depth interviews, documentation, and analysis of student speech transcripts. The study reveals the complexity of linguistic challenges faced by students in mastering Arabic speaking skills. Language interference was identified in three dimensions: phonology, syntax, and vocabulary, driven by limited exposure to Arabic, traditional teaching methods, and the dominance of the mother tongue. The impacts of interference include a decline in students’ confidence and reduced quality of Arabic communication. To address these issues, the research proposes comprehensive solutions, such as developing practical teaching methods, raising linguistic awareness, employing a contrastive approach, and implementing intensive training techniques like drilling and role-playing.
2025-07-24T04:38:30+07:00 ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://ojs.unsiq.ac.id/index.php/liar/article/view/9127 Fa’aliyah Thariqah Course review Horay Li Tahsin Maharatul Qira’ah Lada Thullab fil Madrasah al-Mutawassithah al-Islamiyah Sabilul Ulum Mayong 2025-07-24T04:37:24+07:00 Dina Amalia dinaamalia11904@gmail.com Azwar Annas azwarannas@iainkudus.ac.id
This article discusses the effectiveness of using the course review horay method in improving students' maharah qira'ah.
