Author Guidelines

For Authors who their articles will be published in the Journal Catha Saintifica must be following:

  1. Articles are original written by the author.
  2. The maximum plagiarism of 20% checked by Turnitin and never published before.
  3. Written articles must follow the rules of scientific articles writing.
  4. Articles contained in this Journal are research, creativity, development and innovation of technology products articles (Conceptual).
  5. Articles are written with Microsoft Word program, The main text format consists of a flat left-right columns on A4 paper (quarto). The margin text from the left and top are 2.5 cm, right and bottom are 2 cm. The manuscript is written in Microsoft Word, 1.15 space, Time New Roman 12 pt.
  6. Articles are written with minimum 6 pages for original research article, or minimum 10 pages for review/survey paper.
  7. The title of article is specifically written with maximum 15 words.
  8. The identity of authors are written with the full name without the title followed by name and address of institution. For authors who number more than one, at the end of the name in each author is given the correspondence address code (number). The corresponding author's email is written in the end of the all authors address. please follow this example:
  9. The article submitted with an abstract written in Indonesian and english language of 150-250 words and The keyword list provides the opportunity to add 3 to 5 keywords, used by the indexing and abstracting services, in addition to those already present in the title (10 pt). An abstract is often presented separate from the article, so it must be able to stand alone. A well-prepared abstract enables the reader to identify the basic content of a document quickly and accurately, to determine its relevance to their interests, and thus to decide whether to read the document in its entirety. The abstract should be informative and completely self-explanatory, provide a clear statement of the problem, the proposed approach or solution, and point out major findings and conclusions.

INTRODUCTION (12 PT)

The introduction contains the purpose of article/research that is formulated and presented by an adequate introduction and avoids detail references and research result presentations. The research urgency, supporting facts, and data must be included. A preliminary research result should be explained as the basis of the research. Before mentioning the objective/s, a gap analysis must be elucidated. The gap analysis states the difference/s between the research and other previous studies. At this point, the novelty will be apparent. The research stance must be included, whether it corrects, debates, or support the previous research.

METHOD (12 PT)

Explaining research chronological, including research design, research procedure, how to test and data acquisition. The method used should be accompanied by references; the relevant modification should be explained. The procedure and data analysis technique should be emphasized in a literature review article. The stages and analysis of the research must be explained in detail.

RESULTS AND DISCUSSION (12 PT)

In this section, it is explained the results of research and at the same time is given the comprehensive discussion. The data presented is not raw data but data that has been processed. Results can be presented in figures, graphs, tables and others that make the reader understand easily. The results and discussion should be presented in the same part, clearly and briefly. The discussion part should contain the benefit of the research result, not the repeat result part. The results and discussion part can be written in the same part to avoid the extensive quotation. Tables or graphs must present different results. The results of data analysis must be reliable in answering research problems.  References to the discussion should not repeat the references in the introduction. Comparisons to the findings of previous studies must be included. 

Equations should be placed at the center of the line and provided consecutively with equation numbers in parentheses flushed to the right margin, as in (1). The use of Microsoft Equation Editor or MathType is preferred. Writing descriptions of symbols in equations is made descriptively of paragraphs, not list items like in book writing.

 CONCLUSION (12 PT)

 The conclusion of the research is presented briefly, narrative, non-bulleted, and conceptual. The research impact must be stated. Provide a statement that what is expected, as stated in the "introduction" section can ultimately result in "results and discussion" section, so there is compatibility. Moreover, it can also be added the prospect of the development of research results and application prospects of further studies into the next (based on result and discussion).

ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS  (12 PT)

Acknowledgment is addressed to a person and/or groups and also the institution that help the research both in a direct and/or indirect way, including the financial support from government or private institution. For the research with research grant or financial support, the research funder, research grant name, and contract number must be stated on. (optional).

REFERENCES (12 PT)

Reference in the article should cite the last name and year. If citing from some authors, it should be ordered based on the most recent reference. If citing from the article written by two authors, then all authors' names should be cited. Meanwhile, if citing from the article written by three or more authors, then it is cited by writing the first author's name followed by et al. Citation should be written in reference part. Every cited reference should be written completely in the reference part. An unpublished reference is not suggested to be cited in the article. References should be written according to the APA style. This journal requires 80% of the reference cited from the national and international journals. References are written in APA style. Use of a tool such as EndNote, Mendeley, or Zotero for reference management and formatting, and choose APA style.
