Abstract

The purpose of this study was conducted for: 1) How is the initial condition of student’s gross motor skills before using learning with the tradisional game method of the sarong monkey, 2) How is the learning process using the traditional monkey sarong game method on children’s gross motor skills?, 3) How are the results of student’s gross motor skills after using the tradisional game of the sarong monkey. The method user in this research classroom action research (PTK). This study consisted of two cycles, focused on gross motor development activities for children with a total of 10 students. It can be concluded that: 1) Gross motor development in group B in Kober Intisabi Nurul Yaqin can be improved through traditional games, increasing children’s gross motor development can be seen from the results of observations before the action the action the average value obtained by children is 55,625%, 2) In the first cycle 66,250%, then the development increased by 10,625%, and 3) In the second cycle the development of 86,875%, so from cycle I to cycle II, child development has increased by 20,625%, while from preaction to cycle it has increased by 31,25%. Based on the results of the analysis in cycle I and cycle II, the researcher can conclude that the traditional game of the sarong monkey can improve and develop gross motor skills in early childhood.
