Abstract

Cognitive development in early childhood can be interpreted as psychological changes that affect the ability to think in early childhood. Cognitive development also includes developments in thinking and intelligence. With the ability to think, early childhood can explore themselves, other people, animals and plants and various objects around them so that they gain various knowledge. This study aims to determine: (1) the cognitive development of students of RA Raudlotul Ulum Sidaraayu during the covid 19 pandemic and (2) the factors that influence the development of students' cognitive abilities. (3) the strategy of educators in developing students' cognitive abilities during the covid 19 pandemic at RA Raudlotul Ulum Sidaraayu (4) Factors that support and hinder the teacher's strategy in developing students' cognitive at RA Raudlotul Ulum Sidaraayu This research is a type of field research using a qualitative approach. The subjects in this study were: (1) the head of RA Raudlotul Ulum Sidaraayu, (2) the teacher of group A1 (3) the teacher of group A2. In the process of collecting data, researchers used interviews, observation, and documentation. From the results of the study, it can be concluded: that (1) students' cognitive abilities can develop optimally by applying various educator strategies and learning strategies and (2) factors that affect students' cognitive abilities: heredity factors, environmental factors, maturity factors, formation factors, interest factors, and talent and freedom factors (3) The teaching strategies used are offline and online strategies, while the learning strategies used are learning strategies through play, learning strategies through storytelling, learning strategies through singing, integrated learning strategies, and strategies for developing nine bits of intelligence (4 ) Factors that support offline learning; the opening of face-to-face learning for the yellow and green zones, the presence of teachers spurring students' enthusiasm, the use of existing media in the surrounding environment, inhibiting factors; limited learning time, increased teacher transportation supplies, limited teaching aids used, and inadequate places. Factors that support online learning; are adequate facilities, the ability of parents in the field of technology, stable internet, internet quota assistance from the government, inhibiting factors; inadequate facilities, parents do not master technology, unstable internet, additional fees for buying internet quota
